Christians believe that their Lord Jesus sacrificed his life for the good of mankind. They do not celebrate this day with joy. Rather, they celebrate this day by remembering the suffering of the Lord Jesus, his contribution. They believe that this day is the day of virtue over sin, the day of victory of truth over lies. The day of victory of good over evil.

In fact, the word Good Friday comes from the word God. In ancient times, it was celebrated as God's Friday or Holy Friday. Now the question may arise as to which year the Lord Jesus was crucified. According to historians, this is the Good Friday of 33 AD. Again, many people also consider this holy year to be 34 AD, judging by the biblical calendar.

The day before the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus, the Lord and his disciples held an evening meal together. In history, this meal is called 'the Last Supper.' Jesus had 12 main disciples. One of these 12 disciples was 'Jude Iscariot'. He betrayed the Lord Jesus for just 30 pieces of silver. With the help of this Judas, the Romans arrested Jesus in the Garden of Gethsemane. Judas told the guards that the one he would kiss would be Jesus. After arresting Jesus, he was taken to the high priest 'Caiaphar'. This is where the ancient Roman high court was held. The high priest Caiaphas sentenced the Lord Jesus to blasphemy.

The next day, Jesus was brought before the Roman governor Pontius Pilate. Pontius Pilate accused Jesus of various charges. After that, he sent Jesus to Herod, the king of Galilee. But since King Herod was not present, the Lord Jesus was brought back to Pontius Pilate. To solve this problem, Pilate gave the order to just whip Jesus and release him. But under pressure from the chief priests and to avoid the anger of the people, he also finally sentenced the Lord Jesus to death. The order was given to crucify Jesus. The Lord Jesus was crucified in the Golgotha area. It is said that the Lord Jesus suffered the pain of the cross for 6 hours. The entire Golgotha area was covered in black darkness for the last 3 hours. At that time, an earthquake was felt in the entire area. One of the Lord's followers, Joseph  Arimathea, asked Pilate for the Lord's body. He cleansed the body of the Lord and buried it in a tomb he had made in a nearby garden. After this, the Lord Jesus rose again on the third day and appeared to his followers.

There is no celebration on Good Friday. No lighting is done. Rather, Christians celebrate Good Friday through private prayer, fasting, and remembrance of the Lord. Devout Christians stay away from all kinds of festivals and events on this day. I conclude this essay by bowing down to the Lord Jesus. Thank you.
